Rules

Our rules are there to give all our anglers the best fishing experience, and keep our fish in the best condition. Failure to comply to any rules will result in a ban.
  1. Strictly No children under 14 to fish without an adult of no less than 21years old
  2. Day tickets must be purchased from cafe before you start fishing
  3. Maximum of 2 rods
  4. No rods are to be left unattended
  5. Maximum size ten hook size
  6. Strictly no cat/dog meat, hemp or bread to be used
  7. Strictly no floating bait
  8. Feeder pellets must be purchased on-site
  9. Method feeders are allowed but must be free running
  10. Strictly barbless hooks only
  11. No keepnets except in matches
  12. Opens and clubs to use our weigh sling
  13. Opens and clubs to use their own keep nets
  14. Opens and clubs must ensure nets are completely dry from previous fishing before they enter our water
  15. Opens and Clubs – Keepnets must not be put into the water until 10 minutes before the start of a match, and must be stretched out behind your peg as soon as you get to your peg
  16. No fish to be handled in rags or placed on hard surface
  17. No bait to be thrown on the banks at the end of session. Bins are provided.
  18. All litter including cigarette ends to be cleared on the peg on completion, and deposited in bins provided
  19. No shouting/swearing across the pools
  20. When fishing on rod or pole an indicator/float must be used (a feeder or lead is classed as an indicator). You cannot freeline.
  21. Your float must be in the water at all times. You cannot hook fish hovering the bait on the surface.
  22. Anglers must pay before fishing – you are being watched!
  23. Landing nets – only our landing nets are to be used. Please ask at the cafe for a landing net.
  24. Only our unhooking mats are to be used. If necessary, please share unhooking mats.
  25. If you are not using an unhooking mat, the fish must be unhooked between your legs. Please do not place fish straight onto the ground/grass!
  26. No night fishing is allowed on the match pool.
  27. No fish to be taken from pools. Anybody found taking fish will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
  28. All nets to be returned to the fishery at the end of your fishing.  If you have taken any nets by error, please return them to the fishery as soon as possible.
